Joining the Dots for Type 1 Diabetics





When presented with the dreadful statistics for Type 1 diabetics’ blood glucose control most forum members ignore the evidence:


When pushed they claim that such statistics are the results of individuals getting their carb/insulin ratio wrong. However, when presented with the dreadful results of the structured education programme, DAFNE (Dose Adjustment For Normal Eating), most forum members ignore the evidence:


Of course, there are Type 1 diabetics forum members achieving HbA1c < 6.5%. Examples include: Fergus, Dillinger and Pneu. There were many more on the forum but unfortunately most of their posts deleted (more on that later).

Now for a little task for Type 1 diabetic forum members, to join the dots, identify the factor that links Fergus, Dillinger and Pneu.
